Recently announced, EA Motive’s Iron Man game is still a long way from being released, but its developers have already shared their vision for this ambitious project.

After months of rumours, Electronic Arts finally formalized the development of a new ironman game a few weeks ago. It will be a third-party 100% single-player action-adventure titleentrusted to the care of the studio EA Motives. And it is precisely the boss of this team based in Montreal, Patrick Klaus, who tells us a little more about the project during an interview with Eurogamer.

The Iron Man game will be different from other Marvel games

Details on the game are still skimpy, but the developers have previously indicated that it will tell “a whole new Iron Man story” with “original storytelling”. On the gameplay side, the idea is to do something that stands out from other productions on the market. Here is what Patrick Klaus says:

The game must be massive. There must be innovation. It takes compelling storytelling. We need time to try things out and make sure we settle on a creative vision and creative direction that will be new, unique, and different from some of the other Marvel games or action RPG games out there. It’s a big, big goal before we go into production. – Patrick Klaus, General Manager of the EA Motive studio.

No release date is fixed for the moment, and it will not be necessary to be very patient since the game is currently in the pre-production phase. EA Motive is also busy developing Dead Space Remake, which will be released on January 27, 2023.

For fans of marvel games, there will be plenty to do in the coming years between Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Skydance New Media’s game or Marvel’s Wolverine. The latter is also scheduled to be released in 2023 according to a recent Microsoft statement.
