Sylvester Stallone and the television series is rare enough to be underlined. The star of action films is the protagonist of “Tulsa King”, whose first muscular trailer has been unveiled.
Sylvester Stallone: an always busy schedule
You would think that at 76, Sylvester Stallone would ease off on testosterone-fuelled blockbusters. This is however not the case. In effect, one of the last action movie icons (with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean-Claude Van Damme) is always present to impose its charisma and some breaks in the mouth, if necessary.
It’s in rocky that for the first time he let his fists and his determination to succeed do the talking. The success of the feature film in 1976 gave birth to a franchise, consisting of numerous sequels and even a spin-off. Subsequently, Sly created another iconic character, in the person of Rambo, who will also experience many aspects. Star of the action movie of the 80s, he had many successes but also some failures during the next two decades. Sylvester Stallone still manages to make improbable comebacksas seen in the early 2010s with the birth of a surprising franchise: The Expendableswhose goal is to bring together the historical actors of the “actioner” genre.
Lately, Sylvester Stallone has been busy. We were able to find it in The Suicide Squad (where he provided the voice of King Shark) and in The Samaritan, a superhero film produced and broadcast on Amazon Prime. Soon, he is expected on three projects: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (where he will reprise his role as the Ravager Stakar Ogord), Expandables 4 and the series Tulsa Kingscheduled very soon on the Paramount+ streaming channel.
Sly mafia boss
As a reminder, Tulsa King follows Dwight Manfredi, known as “The General”. This former lieutenant of the Italian mafia has finished serving his 25-year prison sentence and can finally find the open air. However, his former employers strongly advise him not to set foot in the illicit business of the Big Apple again. Manfredi is therefore forced into exile in Tulsa (in Oklahama) where he decides to resume his good old criminal habits.

Created by Taylor Sheridan (Sicario, Yellowstone) and with showrunner Terence Winter (The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire), Tulsa King can therefore count on Sylvester Stallone as the star of the show. The rest of the cast is made up of Martin Starr, Dana Delany, Garrett Hedlund, Domenick Lombardozzi, Jay Will and Andrea Savage. It should also be noted that this is Taylor Sheridan’s second collaboration with Paramount+, after 1883 (released in 2021).
The first trailer of the series promises in any case a nice mix of action and black humor. Despite his septuagenarian status, Sylvester Stallone always seems ready to spin mandals in all directions, in his tailor-made suit. With 10 episodes planned, the series promises in any case to be both violent and rhythmic.
Tulsa King will air on Paramount+ from November 13, 2022.
